Our ever patient, fun and helpful niece Audrey
Exhausted from traveling for two days, it was definitely easy for Beau to take a nap. I think he was even excited.
The pictures below may not be in chronological order, but I thought you might enjoy seeing some of the activities we did during Audrey's stay with us.
I suppose being cooped up in an old house full of boxes with 90-100 degree weather (and humidity) is enough motivation to get a newly recovering mom out of the house. So off to the fair we went! I actually was excited to get out of the house, Audrey probably even more so, but it sure takes a lot of time and effort when you're still feeding the baby every couple of hours. Audrey and I learned necessary information for next year's visit ;) But still had some fun mostly site seeing at the fair
Over the freeway and through some gravel, back to the car we go! After riding in the hot shuttle to the Fair and then seeing the hour long line to ride it back to the parking lot, we opted to walk back. Audrey was a champ pushing the kids!
Another trek we made to get out of the house was to the beautiful Green Lakes State Park, just 15 minutes from our home. The park is beautiful, with swimming, hiking, camping, and other activities around the two mineral lakes.
Another hot, but fun day!
They are the sweetest siblings, and have loved being together ever since Beau got used to the idea ;)

Beau LOVES his cousin Audrey! She is going to be an amazing mom one day. He kept looking for her in "her bedroom" for several days after she left and still talks about Audrey. It definitely wasn't a vacation for her; she got up in the mornings with Beau, helped me clean, unpack and organize (and more). Hopefully she can come back again for a real vacation!

Taking a break to eat dinner and let Beau run around
We didn't even realize until arriving, that Syracuse is home of the STATE Fair!
It brought back a lot of memories from going to the LA county fair as a child; it will be fun to go next year and participate in more activities with Beau!
Enjoying our new back yard
Another hot, but fun day!
Tim and Beau enjoying a swim
It is almost a MUST to visit at least one of the Church History sites whenever we have a visitor, so we decided to go to the Peter Whitmer Farm, because Audrey had never been. We love living near upstate New York and being so close to many sacred areas where miraculous events occurred. There is a wonderful new video at the Whitmer farm, that tells the story of Joseph Smith Jr and Oliver Cowdery coming to stay with Peter Whitmer's family to finish translating the Book of Mormon; and the stories of the three and eight witnesses. This is also where the first meeting for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints was held.
Audrey then helped me take one month pictures of Annie (we needed to include Beau too of course)
Sunday afternoon relaxing with Aunt Audrey.
She always got Annie to smile
Audrey saying her goodbyes to Tim
Then, one last stop before dropping Audrey off at the airport. Buffalo is two hours from us, but usually has cheaper flights, so we decided to leave early enough to site see. With an hour to spare, we stopped by the American side of Niagara falls for a picnic and pictures.
